Every week in your business, there is a small problem you have learned to live with.

You don't fix it. You just absorb it.

I used to do the same for the following problem in my business.

The Mistake Hiding in Plain Sight

Our billing staff had to manually type every product name into the billing software during a sale.

Just finding the right product took 10 seconds. For a bill with 10 items, that's 100 seconds of typing and still getting it wrong sometimes.

Wrong entries meant inventory errors. Inventory errors meant confusion.

Confusion meant my involvement.

I was the one fixing it every time.

The One Small Change

One day, it just hit me. I got an idea in the shower.

That's it. I did not waste any more time and implemented it.

I installed a barcode scanner.

Now the staff lifts the product, scans it, and enters the quantity. One second per item.

A 10-item bill takes 10 seconds instead of 100.

The Result

No typing errors. No missing products.

No inventory mistakes. No calls to me.

Also, it increased the speed of our product delivery.

Customers now get the requested product much faster than before.

That led to reduced customer wait time, increased customer happiness, and retention.

One small conscious change eliminated an entire category of problems.

Your Question This Week

What is the small problem you have learned to live with that is quietly costing you time, errors, and your own involvement every single day?

Find it. Fix it.

That's how you start reducing dependency and start experiencing life beyond the bottleneck.

That’s all for this week.

See you next Saturday.
